Former Rapid City Jail Worker Accused Of Sex With Inmate

A Rapid City woman has pleaded not guilty to having sexual contact with an inmate while employed at the Pennington County Jail.

Thirty-eighty-year-old Kimberly Johnson is accused of having a romantic relationship with a 39-year-old male inmate in September, while working as a staff assistant in the jail's medical department. She was fired after the alleged incident.

Johnson could face up to two years in prison if convicted of the felony offense.
