She says the real problem that needs to be looked into is mental health.
"The root of the problem that we consistently see in all of these instances is a mental health crisis that wasn't addressed. Across the country we have kids and we have adults dealing with mental health challenges and if they aren't helped and if there aren't services available, then it may lead to addiction that which often leads to violence." Noem said.
This comes a day after President Trump announced he is taking steps to ban bump stocks, the accessories that allow guns to fire like automatic weapons.
