KELOLAND Resident Saw Eagles Fans Destroy Seats At U.S. Bank Stadium

A football fan from KELOLAND is just getting back to work after a fantastic Super Bowl experience in Minneapolis. While Zak Fick had a great time at the game, he says he witnessed some vandalism of U.S. Bank Stadium by Philadelphia Eagles fans.

With the Super Bowl taking place just a few hours away from Sioux Falls, Fick and his family had to make the trip to see the big game.

"We were hoping the Vikings would make it but we were excited to take in this once in a lifetime experience," Fick said.

Fick is back in Harrisburg tidying up a construction site but a photo he took at the Super Bowl is making the rounds on social media. While he says the Patriots and Eagles made several highlights on the field, off the field and in the stands, he witnessed a few lowlights.

"As we were leaving the stadium, all of a sudden we heard some cracks. We looked back and we see some Eagles fans are, unfortunately, kicking out some of the seats at U.S. Bank stadium. Which was sad to see," Fick said.

Several photos and videos, in addition to Fick's, are now out there of Eagles fans walking away with the purple seats.

"I did see that there was some people taking them as mementos. The three that I saw kick out, they literally just kicked them out to kick them out and then walked away. They just decided, 'Let's damage something,'" Fick said.

While Fick says he did meet Eagles fans who were nice and fun to be around, he wishes he didn't have to see vandalism.

"One of those you have to remember this isn't everyone but it's also an unfortunate few that really don't make a good name for them.  I wish some of the Eagles fans might stand up and say, 'That's not right,' and stand up against their own fans doing that.  Just show respect for others property," Fick said.

The rocky relationship between Eagles fans and Minnesota will continue next season. The Vikings have to travel to Philadelphia for a regular season game.
