Morning storms continue to move east of Sioux Falls, some with hail. We expect hot weather today for much of KELOLAND as new storms develop in the far west late this afternoon.
Highs will be hottest West River, near 104 in Philip.
The storms that develop in the west will move northeast overnight. They could be severe and they may be most intense in the enhanced risk zone.
Lows overnight will be very mild in the 70s east and 60s west.
Tomorrow will be very hot again in the southeast. Notice the cooler numbers in the west.
A sharp cold front will really impact KELOLAND on Saturday. 70s will be LIKELY behind the front, but 90s are expected in Sioux Falls. Severe weather is possible along the front on Saturday, so pay close attention to the forecast.
Here's the latest Day 3 forecast. A large area of South Dakota is under a slight risk.
The temperature clash will get even more dramatic by Sunday. 90s are forecast in the southeast and 60s are LIKELY in the west.
Rain chances will increase early next week along with much cooler weather.
