Snow cover is still plenty thick in many areas of KELOLAND. You can see on the map above, the thickest snow is over the Black Hills and much of northern SD. We will be melting today with most highs above freezing with bright sunshine.
Tonight looks mainly quiet with partly cloudy skies.
Tomorrow will be in the 40s and 50s in the south. Rapid City could hit 60!
A wind shift late Wednesday will give us cooler weather on Thursday. Highs will still be above normal in many areas ahead of the next storm.
Friday looks snowy West River. We are closely watching the path and intensity of this storm. Snow is likely in Rapid City and several inches may fall there. Sioux Falls could get grazed by this storm on Saturday.
Here's another look at the storm track on the European model. Notice another storm early next week. It looks like typical March weather...up and down with threats of rain and snow.
