Storm Center Update Sunday AM - June 18

We are starting Father’s Day off with only a few clouds overhead but eastern KELOLAND may need to dodge scattered showers that will redevelop in the afternoon. West River will remain dry and sunny. Highs today will still be slightly cooler than average, only reaching the low to middle 70s for most of the area. The wind won’t be quite as gusty as yesterday, but sustained winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph could be found in the open areas.

The next week will start off with sunny skies and slightly warmer temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s on Monday and 80s to near 90 degrees on Tuesday.

Wednesday will likely be the warmest day with highs ranging in the upper 80s to middle 90s. The rest of the 7 day forecast has a cooling trend back to the 70s to near 80 for next weekend. As that cooler air invades KELOLAND, some thunderstorms are possible.
