SF Lutheran School to Build Facility for Preschool through 8th Grade

KELOLAND News is learning new details about a Sanford Health donation.

We told you last year that Sanford is donating land to Sioux Falls Lutheran School at 69th Street and Tallgrass Avenue, where Interstates 29 and 229 meet.

Now we know that the facility will be for preschool through 8th graders, with expanded child care and athletic fields.

"This is a great location for Sioux Falls Lutheran, and we are proud to support the school in its desire to serve more children and families," Kelby Krabbenhoft, president and CEO of Sanford Health, said.  "We have our roots as a Lutheran hospital, and we understand the importance of giving back to the community-through investments, health care and education."

The site also has room for a high school.

Sanford Health is also providing a matching gift of up to $5 million.
